What’s Up, Doc?

Director Peter Bogdanovich (The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon) pays homage to the screwball genre with this utterly madcap pairing of Barbra Streisand and Ryan O’Neal. Set in San Francisco, four identical travel bags get mixed up leading to embarrassing encounters between a distracted researcher (O’Neal) and a peculiar woman who keeps getting the two in increasingly wacky situations. Babs channels her inner Bugs Bunny in this whip smart romantic-comedy.
