Doing away with the anthology concept after the dismissal response to HALLOWEEN III (we still love it here at the Hiway!). HALLOWEEN 4 picks up a decade later with a comatose Michael Myers waking up and heading to Haddonfield to track down his preteen niece, Jamie (Danielle Harris). Hot on the killer’s pursuit is a scene-chewing Donald Pleasance as Dr. Loomis, who’s determined to stop Michael’s evil once and for all. Released in the late ‘80s and featuring a startling twist ending, this is one of the rare sequels that live up to Carpenter’s 1978 original.
