Stage choreographer Bob Fosse worked on some of the most memorable stage productions of the 20th century, and in the ‘70s began directing films. His most notable work is 1972’s CABARET about a young American dancer, played by Liza Minnelli, performing in Germany during the last days of the Weimar Republic. The film took home 8 Academy Awards, including Best Direction and Best Actress, and is considered to be one of the best stage-to-film adaptations of all time.
